About This Course

Not technique to master clarity to live by

This 12-month integrated course offers a clear and practical introduction to meditation, designed to fit into everyday life. Rather than focusing on complex techniques, rigid rules, or measurable outcomes, the sessions help you become familiar with sitting quietly, breathing naturally, and noticing what is happening within without judgment or effort.

The approach is slow, supportive, and realistic. You are not asked to change your thoughts, control your mind, or reach a particular state. Instead, the emphasis is on building comfort with awareness and allowing calm and clarity to develop on their own over the full arc of twelve months.

Who This Course Is For

You may recognise yourself here

This course is designed for those who want to begin — or return to meditation without pressure, complexity, or performance.

Beginners

New to meditation and unsure where to start? This course is designed to be simple, friendly, and easy to follow — even if you have never sat in stillness before.

Busy Minds

If your mind feels constantly active or distracted, this course helps you slow down without forcing stillness — working with the mind, not against it.

No-Pressure Seekers

If you prefer learning without goals, rules, or performance, this course offers a relaxed, judgment-free approach where progress happens naturally.

Calm & Clarity

For anyone looking for more balance and presence in daily life — without complicated techniques, spiritual jargon, or unrealistic expectations.

Core Teachings

What we explore together

Six essential dimensions of meditative awareness — drawn from classical Yoga philosophy and made practical for modern daily life.

Foundation

Comfortable Sitting

How to sit in a way that feels natural and sustainable, without forcing posture or stillness. We focus on comfort first, so meditation feels doable rather than demanding.

Prāṇāyāma

Breathing Without Control

Learning to stay with the breath as it is — without changing its rhythm or depth.
Breathing becomes a simple anchor, not something to manage or force.

Prāṇāyāma

Self-Knowledge & Inquiry

Understanding that thoughts will arise — and that this is completely normal. You will learn to notice them without getting carried away or feeling frustrated.

Steadiness

Working with Restlessness

How to meet impatience, unease, or physical discomfort gently, instead of fighting them. This builds patience and inner steadiness over the months ahead.

Daily Life

Awareness in Everyday Moments

Simple ways to carry moments of attention into everyday activities like walking, working, or resting. Meditation becomes something you live, not just something you do.

Consistency

Rhythm Without Rigidity

Finding a practice rhythm that suits your life, without rigid schedules or expectations. The focus is on showing up regularly — not doing it perfectly every time.

How this course unfolds

Structured for the modern seeker — flexible, accessible, and deeply nourishing.

Q1

Consistency

Arriving in the Practice

The first quarter is dedicated to arrival — establishing a comfortable seat, becoming familiar with the breath, and simply learning to be present without agenda. We explore what meditation actually is, and gently dissolve common misconceptions that prevent people from beginning.

Q2

Months 4 – 6 · Familiarity

Knowing the Mind

The second quarter deepens familiarity with how the mind moves — its patterns of restlessness, distraction, and commentary. Drawing from Patañjali’s understanding of the chitta and its vrittis, we learn to observe rather than react, and to build a steadier relationship with attention itself.

Q3

Months 7 – 9 · Deepening

Sustained Awareness

The third quarter introduces longer sitting periods, mantra as a support for concentration, and the classical teaching of Dhyāna — the natural deepening of attention. We also explore how meditative awareness can be brought into daily work, conversation, and rest.

Q4

Months 10 – 12 · Integration

Living the Practice

The final quarter is devoted to integration — weaving what has been explored into the fabric of daily living. We revisit foundational teachings with fresh eyes, explore the Advaita understanding of the meditator and the meditated, and conclude with a reflective ceremony marking the journey’s completion.
